<p>PURPOSE: To arbitrarily revise a display position of a caption and a color wiping of the caption. CONSTITUTION: Wipe information set by operating a wipe lever 81 is sampled by a wipe data sampler 70 via an adaptor 82 and selected by a switch 69. The selected signal is compression-coded by a DPCM coding circuit 65, a run length coding circuit 66, and a variable length coding circuit 67 and given to a sub title buffer verifier 68. Furthermore, the information is processed into a packet and multiplexed with other stream data in a multiplexer 58 and then sent or stored in a disk 91. Color wiping is applied to the caption by decoding wiped packet at the decoder.</p> |
