OUTER-POLE TYPE PERMANENT-MAGNET ROTARY ELECTRIC EQUIPMENT AND MOTOR VEHICLE USING OUTER-POLE TYPE PERMANENT-MAGNET ROTARY ELECTRIC EQUIPMENT

PURPOSE: To provide an outer-pole type permanent-magnet rotary electric equipment which operates in a wide range of velocities and also provide a motor vehicle using such an equipment. CONSTITUTION: A stator 2 consists of a stator winding-wound stator iron core 4 and a stator supporting plate 6 which supports the stator iron core 4. A rotor 3 which is rotatably supported on the outer circumference of the stator 2 is constituted of a yoke 7 and a plurality of permanent magnets 8 which are located face to face with the stator iron core 4 on the inner circumference of the yoke 7. Between poles of the permanent magnets 8, magnetic material 9 which has a higher magnetic permeability than the permanent magnets 8 is placed. By placing the magnetic material 9, magnetic flux caused by a coil current of the stator 2 can be increased and thereby a field-weaking control effect can also be increased and as a result, an operation range can be widened from low velocities to high ones.
