摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a multicolor light emitting device which can be integrated with a silicon device. SOLUTION: A stack 500 of three LEDs 510-520-530 which radiates blue, green and red light provides pixels for a full color display with LED including a nitride III-V compound semiconductor material grid-matched to silicon and formed on a silicon substrate 540. The signal processing circuit of silicon and an LED driver circuit can be formed on the silicon substrate to provide a system incorporating everything in spite of being small. As a lens eye is mounted on the full color display, a display system of simplicity and high resolution is obtained by the combination of the display and the lens eye arranged extremely near observer's eyes.
