摘要 <p>PURPOSE: To improve a reproduced picture at the time of slow speed reproducing. CONSTITUTION: Video signals reproduced by video heads 1A and 1B alternately are stored in field memories 6 and 7 through a head changeover switch 2, an amplifier circuit 3, a video signal processing circuit 4 and a memory changeover switch 5. An envelope detecting signal of the reproduced video signal is fetched from an envelope detecting circuit 11 via an A/D converter 12 by a microcomputer 13, and the memory changeover switch 5 is controlled to be changed so as to store a reproduced video signal of the following field in either of the field memories 6 and 7, in which a video signal at a level of smaller envelope amplitude width is stored. In addition, when the envelope amplitude level of the reproduced video signal becomes continuously below a threshold, a memory selecting switch 8 is controlled to be changed so as to store a video signal at a level of larger envelope amplitude width out of the video signals in the field memories 6 and 7 in a field memory 9.</p>
