<p>PURPOSE: To provide a dehumidifying machine in which a compressor is stopped at a time of its icing to an extent the compressor requiring a defrosting, by using a simple icing sensor device without using any expensive parts such in a print art, micro-computer or the like, and an operation control can be performed so that a dehumidifying capability can be effected in a maximum amount. CONSTITUTION: A compressor 14 and a blower 13 are stored in a dehumidifying machine, inner air sucked from a suction port 4 into an air passage within main body case is cooled and dehumidified by an evaporator 10, heated by a condensor 11 and then the dehumidified air is blown out of a blowing-out port 8. A fact that the dehumidified water is iced at the evaporator 10 is detected by an icing sensor 17 arranged to be spaced apart by a distance E from a refrigerant pipe 16 of the evaporator 10 only with a delay of an ice growing time, and then the compressor 14 is stopped. This distance E is set so that the icing sensor 17 is to be actuated at a time when a substantial ice thickness is seen and a defrosting should be properly carried out, and that the operatting time is most suitable.</p> |
