The wheel is fixed to the foot and the top of the calf of each leg by a frame (A). The diameter of the vertical wheel is greater than the distance between the foot and the ground. Its rim (C) is segmented or flexible and it deforms to rest on the ground under the foot. The wheel deforms during rotation and its plane of rotation is near that of the leg. Its axle is fixed in rotation and the rigid spokes rotate round axes perpendicular to the plane of rotation of the wheel.
