The launcher consists of a barrel (2) with a launching ramp (3), a main body (4) with actuating motors and springs, and a base which adapts to various ground slopes. The bases comprises an anchor plate (10) carrying an assembly shoe with one thrust face (10) attached to the anchor plate and the other (11) to a support (5). The shoe (6) is made in two or more sections (8, 9), the connecting plane (12) of which is inclined relative to the lengthwise axis of each of the sections. The sections can be rotated relative to one another about their lengthwise axes, and have fixings to hold them in their set positions. By rotating and fixing the shoe sections relative to one another the launcher barrel can be kept horizontal on various ground slopes.
