摘要 PURPOSE: To stably perform temperature control of a catalyst layer by control of a fuel flow rate for a burner and control of a combustion air flow rate, even to a load change by burning off gas from a fuel cell in a fuel reformer having a superheater tube to superheat raw material fuel and a reformer tube which is connected to this and has the catalyst layer. CONSTITUTION: A temperature of a reforming raw material of an inlet manifold 7 of a reformer tube 8 is detected by a temperature detector 40, and an average temperature of detecting temperatures of a catalyst layer by temperature detectors 41, 42 and 43 is calculated by an average temperature computing element 45. A preset temperature to be controlled of a catalyst layer 6 corresponding to a load is corrected in a correction temperature calculated by a correction temperature computing element 46 by this catalyst average temperature, and temperature control of the catalyst layer 6 is performed from deviation between this corrected correction setting temperature and a detecting temperature of the reforming raw material in the inlet manifold 7.
