PURPOSE: To obtain an optical spectrum spread communication system which minimizes CNR deterioration at the time of reception and reduces the influence of an ASE noise. CONSTITUTION: A transmitted light wavelength control circuit 4 generates a transmitted wavelength control signal for controlling the oscillation wavelength of a variable wavelength light source 2 and supplies it to the variable wavelength light source 2. The variable wavelength light source 2 has its light intensity modulated with an FDM signal to be sent and outputs an optical signal whose wavelength hopps according to the pattern of a PN series according to the transmitted wavelength control signal. A received light wavelength control circuit 11 generates a received light wavelength select signal controlling the selected wavelength of a variable wavelength filter 7 according to the pattern of the output PN series of a reception-side PN series generating circuit 10. The variable light wavelength filter 7 transmits only light wavelength selected according to the received light wavelength select signal as to a light amplified signal inputted through an optical fiber transmission line 6 and outputs it as a light received signal to an optical receiver 8. |
