PURPOSE: To enable a user to easily edit data of a work processor by utilizing a pointing device. CONSTITUTION: This word processor is provided with a switch for coordinate specification continuation, and equipped with a pointing device 1b which enables dragging operation with the said switch, a copying and moving process control part 5 which set some width in response to coordinate specification with the pointing device 1b, a data read-in part 9 which reads in coordinate data and display data on a display screen with a certain width and stores them in a buffer memory 11 while making them correspond to each other, and a data pasting part 10 which reads data out of the buffer memory 11 and pastes them to the display screen when the coordinates of an optional position on the display screen are specified with the pointing device 1b after the data storage. |
