PURPOSE: To obtain a drive direction switching unit for a ultrasonic motor in which the direction of rotating vibration generated from a piezoelectric vibrator is switched. CONSTITUTION: A piezoelectric vibrator 1 has a split electrode 3a connected with a first FET 8 and a split electrode 3b connected with a second FET 9 which is connected through an inverter 10 with a signal input terminal 7. When a High signal is fed to the signal input terminal 7, the first FET 8 is turned on while the second FET 9 is inverted through the inverter 10 and turned off thus feeding power to the piezoelectric vibrator 1 through the split electrode 3a connected with the first FET 8. When a Low signal is fed from the signal input terminal 7, the first FET 8 is turned off while the second FET 9 in inverted through the inverter 10 and turned on by a High signal thus realizing inversion. |
