PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thin-film digital data recording medium in which reproduction can be performed at a high speed by providing a thin-film data carrier and a repetitively usable adaptor. SOLUTION: An optical reading type data recording medium 10 is provided with a thin-film data carrier 16, and the thin-film data carrier 16 is formed of the two layers of laminated plastics. A data surface to which micro-embossing work is applied is located in the inner part of an interface zone not illustrated, and the surface contains a physically displaced plane element in which digital data is encoded. In an adaptor 30 on which the thin-film data carrier 16 is removably mounted and supported from its underneath, an opening is formed at its center, and the adaptor 30 is supported and rotated by a CD driving spindle 42. The adaptor 30 has a refraction zone, and the region and the position of the refraction zone are located on the lower side of a data surface to which micro-embossing work is applied, and a light beam 34 from the light source 32 of a CD player is focused on a rotating data surface. |
