OPTICAL FIBER FOR AMPLIFICATION AND ITS MANUFACTURE

摘要

PURPOSE: To provide an optical fiber for amplification which can make stable glass where there is little structural defects even if Er or Al is added in high density and which is favorable in light amplification property. CONSTITUTION: The content of OD groups of a core part 1 doped with both Er and Al is 2ppm or over. Hereby, structural defects made in glass compounding process or drawing process is dissolved with OD groups, and it becomes a stable optical fiber with little defects, and becomes an optical fiber for amplification favorable in optical amplification property.
