<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an architecture of a radio base station. SOLUTION: In the architecture of a radio base station, a 'public service' that is received by lots of recipients is transmitted to all areas. On the other hand, a service for specific recipients smaller than all the recipients in the area is transmitted to a sector only. A demultiplexor gives both a broadcast video signal and a 'sector' video signal for the specific recipients to a video processor and the video processor prepares the both and broadcasts them. The demultiplexor gives the sector audio signal to an audio processor/RF coupler, which prepares it and transmits it. The video processor sends the broadcast video signal to an antenna, and the antenna emits the signal over the area and emits the sector video signal to the audio processor/RF coupler. The audio processor/RF coupler combines the sector audio signal and the sector video signal before transmitting them to an antenna from which the combined signal is emitted over the sector.</p> |
