COMMUNICATION PATH DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM

PURPOSE: To diagnose the communication path of a broad-band exchange with as high reliability as possible while saving the time and labor as much as possible as to the communication path diagnostic system for the broad-band exchange. CONSTITUTION: At specific positions corresponding to the out-going and in-coming paths of all communication paths to be diagnosed which are set in the communication path setting device (100) of the broad-band exchange, counting means (110 are provided which count test cells passing through the specific positions of the paths when a test cell transmitting means (200) sends test cells to the communication paths to be diagnosed. A counted value comparing means (400) which gathers and compares the counted values of the respective counting means (110) is provided in common to the counting means (110), and a trouble range in the communication path setting device (100) is determined according to coincidences and discrepancies between the counted values of the counting means (110) installed corresponding to the respective specific positions.
