PURPOSE: To provide a route selection apparatus which provides one route suitable for a driver's preference out of a plurality of recommended routes. CONSTITUTION: A communication means 1 transmits position information and receives a plurality of routes and pieces of attribute information on the respective routes. In a map storage means 3, map information which displays a map containing the plurality of routes is stored, and user information which is used to identify a user is input via an input means 2. A storage means 6 stores a plurality of kinds of functions to select a route so as to be classified by the user information. Then, a route selection means 4 receives first information and second information which are pieces of information to be reflected in the selection of a route and which indicate the degree of a preference as well as the unser information. The route selection means 4 refers to the storage content of the storage means 6, it uses a first function decided according to the user information and to the kind of the first information, it converts values of respective parameters, it uses a second function decided according to the user information and to the kind of the second information, it converts the converted values, it adds all converted values, and it displays a route having a largest added value as an optimum route. |
