摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide diazo-base image forming material for forming a planographic printing plate, having improved resistance to physical damage in order to improve a printing characteristic of the plano-graphic printing plate. SOLUTION: Image forming material contains a package of at lease two hydrophilic layers in water permeable contact with each other, each containing a hydrophilic (co)polymer or (co)polymer mixture and hardened by hydrolyzed tetraalkylorthosilicate, and a photosensitive layer containing diazo resin or diazonium salt, in this order on a support body. A weight ratio, in the uppermost layer of the package, of the hydrophilic (co)polymer or (co)polymer mixture to the hydrolyzed tetraalkylorthosilicate (indicated as silicon dioxide) is at least 1.1, and a weight ratio in a lower layer of the hydrophilic (co)polymer or (co)polymer mixture to the hydrolyzed tetraalkylorthosilicate (indicated as silicon dioxide) is 0.9 or less.
