<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an opening part from being plugged with toner grain in a direct electrostatic printing(DEP) device. SOLUTION: In a method for DEP on an intermediate substrate or a final substrate, using a device including a backing electrode 105, print head structure 106 including a control electrode combined with an opening part 107, and a toner delivery means 101 for providing a cloud of dry toner grain in the vicinity of the opening part 107, (i) toner grain has a topological basis with the ratio of major axis length to minor axis length of a projection microscope image of grain measured according to a test B being 1.00-1.40; (ii) after adding 0.5wt.% of hydrophobic fumed silica of 260m<2> /g in specific area, the toner grain has the ratio of apparent density (ρapp ) to real density (ρreal ) expressed by an expression.</p> |
