The endless tracked vehicle (1) carries a trench-digging device comprising a wheel (3) with a support (4) having two side brackets (8,9) and a drive (6) with two reduction gears (6A). Each gear is mounted on a gate (16) jointed to the corresponding bracket in which an opening is provided for the output gear shaft. When the gates and openings are closed the output gears co-operate with toothed rings fixed to the spider (3A) of the wheel.
