PURPOSE: To suppress the peak of the envelope electric power of a multi-carrier signal. CONSTITUTION: Input modulated signals from terminals 111 -11n are converted in frequency by frequency converting means 121 -12n into signals of mutually different frequency bands and whose converted outputs are supplied to a power composing means 16 through variable attenuators 211 -21n , and multiplexed and outputted. Part of the multiplexed output is branched, a level detecting means 23 detects the envelope power level, and a control means 24 inputs the detected level L and attenuates the mean electric power of modulated signal power below a multiple k/n for a time of approximately 1/ΔF0 (sec.) (ΔF0 : band width frequency of multiplexed signal) through attenuators when L is larger than a level Ls (k: approximately 4-5) (k) times the mean power of the mutliplex signal among the attenuators 211 -21n . |
