PURPOSE: To provide an image communication equipment capable of sending a color image for one image pattern of video signals efficiently according to a facsimile protocol through a telephone line. CONSTITUTION: The communication equipment is provided with a Y/C separator circuit 3 separating a video signal into a luminance signal and a chrominance signal, A/D converters 4, 5, image memories 8, 9 separately storing the luminance signal and the chrominance signal, a parallel/serial converter 21, a coding section 22, and a facsimile communication control section 16. In the non-standard mode, the information of the luminance signal is sent on one page and the information of the chrominance signal is sent to 2nd page by an image transmission section. |
