PURPOSE: To obtain a medium having stable reflectance by monitoring the thickness of each dielectric layer of a phase change type recording medium and controlling the thickness. CONSTITUTION: This optical information recording medium consists of a substrate, a 1st protective layer, a phase change type recording layer, a 2nd protective layer and a reflecting layer. Each of the 1st and 2nd protective layers is made of a mixture of at lest one among ZnS, ZnO and ZnSe with at least one among oxide, nitride, carbide and fluoride of a metal and metallic elements contained in the protective layers are made different from each other. |
