METHOD AND DEVICE FOR INSPECTING WELDING

PURPOSE: To properly judge an unwelded part irrelevantly to whether or not the metal surface of a weld zone is burnt. CONSTITUTION: This device is equipped with a 1st lighting means 3a which irradiates the weld zone 2 of a component 1 to be inspected with colored light slantingly in a direction perpendicular to a cutting direction, a 2nd lighting means 3b which irradiates the weld zone with colored light of a color different from the 1st lighting means 3a slantingly in a direction along the cutting direction, a color television camera 4 which picks up an image of the weld zone 2, and an image processing part 5 which converts the two-dimensional color image picked up by the color television camera 4 from analog to digital and calculates the mean color of a partial area, and the mean color of the partial area in the picked-up two-dimensional color image is found to decided an unwelded part.
