<p>PURPOSE: To allow the device to be usable for plural kinds of gas equipments without the need for a large capacity memory by mounting a storage means storing a fault diagnostic program and diagnosing a fault of the gas equipment based on the program. CONSTITUTION: An IC card 2 is inserted to a fault diagnostic device 1 and a fault corresponding to a gas equipment of a specific model is stored in a memory 4 of the IC card 2 in a form of a fault diagnostic program and the program is read and executed by a CPU 3 for a control section of the fault diagnostic device 1. That is, the IC card storing the program for fault diagnosis is prepared for each model of the gas equipment and a repair worker receiving a request of fault repair from the user of the gas equipment visits the house of the user by carrying the IC card 2 corresponding to the model informed from the user and the fault diagnostic device 1 and other IC cards 2 for similar models misunderstood by the user for its information. Then, the fault is diagnosed by using the carried proper IC card 2.</p> |
