PURPOSE: To select only fonts which are high in frequency of use as choices and easily switch the fonts by providing a buffer which stores the frequencies of use of the fonts. CONSTITUTION: The frequencies of use by the fonts are stored in the form of the numbers of characters included in a document and when a user presses a font change key, the word processor is switched to a font that >=1 character uses. When there are plural fonts that >=1 character uses, the font is switched to the font right after the currently selected font and when the currently selected font is the last font that >=1 character uses, the font is switched to the 1st font that 11 character uses. Consequently, the number of fonts as choices can be decreased and operation for switching fonts is simplified. |
