PURPOSE: To save the memory and improve the access speed by deleting data which are discriminated as data unnecessary for subsequent document processing from a storage area when data from a external dictionary are read out to the storage are and used. CONSTITUTION: When the dictionary data front the dictionary 63 stored in an external storage device 60 are read out to the dictionary data storage area 43 in a RAM 40 and used, a central processor 1 discriminates dictionary data which have become unnecessary for subsequent document processing and deletes the dictionary data firm the dictionary data storage area 43. In the dictionary data storage area 43, dictionary data are stored which are required for document processing in paragraph units and the dictionary data are discriminated by document processes in paragraph units; and a paragraph which can not be connected to a paragraph determined through the document process is deleted as unnecessary document data from the dictionary data storage area 43. The free area of the dictionary area 43 and the area from which the unnecessary dictionary data have been deleted are integrated to reconstitute the dictionary data storage area 43. |
