<p>The predetermined lengths and angles of the points allow each to follow an individual circular path as the assymetrical tool body is rotated which gives an even roughening effect to the surface being treated, wood, plastics, leather, building materials to give a keyed surface for adhesion with minimum material waste. The projecting points are held in place by soldering or adhesive, or by chamfered heads held in place by a locking piece. A permanent pattern is used to locate the projecting points in the tool body.</p> |
