Quick-change axle for bicycle wheel bearings

The quick change axle (4) changes at least on one side into a coaxial truncated cone (7) connected integral with same and having an outer base which fits snug in a corresponding conical bore (9) of the axle holder (5) and connects this holder as well as the opposing axle holder, through a screw thread (10) attached to the opposite end of the quick change axle to the fixed inner bearing part (2) of the wheel hub which is fitted onto the quick change axle. The truncated cone can be replaced on the axle end by a similarly fitted elliptical truncated rotary body. The threaded end of the quick change axle is screwed into a frustoconical threaded nut (12) with coaxial threaded bore (11) which with the cone base pointing towards the outer axle end fits snug in a corresponding conical bore (13) of the relevant axle holder.
