N-acyloxyalkyl amides prepn. by electrochemical oxidn. of amides in presence of carboxylic acids

Prepn. of N-acyloxyalkyl amides of formula (I) or (IV) by electrochemical oxidn. of amides (II) in the presence of carboxylic acids R4 - COOH (III) takes place in the presence of a conductive salt M(SO3R7)x (V) or M(OSO3R7)x (VI) R1 = H, (cyclo)alkyl, heteroaryl or NR5R6 ; R2 = H, (cyclo)alkyl or aryl, or it may form a 2-10C alkylene gp. with R1 ; R3 = H or 1-4C alkyl ; R4 - R6 = H, (cyclo)alkyl or (hetero)aryl ; R7 = (cyclo)alkyl or (hetero)aryl ; M = metal cation ; and x = charge on M. with the provision that (IV) are prepd. from (II) contg. a CH2R3 gp. as R2. The following cpds. are also claimed : N-acetoxymethyl-tri-N,N,N-methyl urea, N-decoyloxymethyl-N-methyl formamide or bis-(N-acetoxymethyl) formamide.
