A terminal clamp allows a main electrical wire to be connected to a no. of others. The terminal is assembled from a no. of plates (3) of insulating material that each have slots into which other plates (4,5) are inserted. The top plates are plain with a pattern of threaded holes (6) that receive the clamping screws (7). The lower plate is a contact element that is formed with ridges that grip a wire when a screw is tightened. The no. of connection slots (2) into which wires are inserted can be increased to take more wires.
