System for loading and securing trailer on goods vehicle

A framework is attached to the floor and sides of the vehicle loading platform in a forward position. A rope and winch enables the trailer to be pulled up a sloping platform and the towing hitch engaged with a corresponding ball on the frame. The framework comprises a top (8) and a bottom (9) section joined by vertical supports (10) attached to the loading platform (2) of a lorry. Further stability is provided by a strut (16). A winch (13) winds a rope (15a) over a pulley (15). When the trailer is in place its towing hitch socket is engaged with a ball (11) to secure the trailer.
