<p>A pressure regulation system has a first pressure regulator (8) with first and second chambers (5, 9) with a fluid inlet (2) and a fluid outlet (24). A diaphragm (6) controls a valve (4) to obtain a required output pressure in the outlet (24). A second pressure regulator (27) has inlet and outlet chambers (16, 11) which are interconnected through a valve (17), with these chambers being respectively connected with the chambers of the first regulator (5, 9). The pressure in the first chamber (5) is detected by the inlet chamber (16) so as to open the valve (17) when the pressure is below the required outlet pressure. The opening of the valve (17) provides pressure on the diaphragm (6) which in addition to the pressure on the diaphragm (6) provided by its spring bias (7) results in the required outlet pressure from the first chamber (5) being achieved. In an alternative embodiment a pressure line (23) can provide a feedback pressure to the chamber (16) from beyond a valve arrangement (21) so as to allow for the pressure drop in the line (24) between the chamber (5) and the valve (21).
