<p>A method and apparatus are provided for drilling multiple offshore wells (11, 13) from a single conductor casing string (21). A guide member (33) is provided for securing to a standard casing string (17) and running downhole and setting within a lower section of the conductor string (21). The guide member (33) includes multiple guide bores (35, 37) through which standard casing strings (17, 19) are run. A first one of the standard casing strings (17, 19) is secured into one of the multiple guide bores (35, 37) for lowering the guide member (33) into the lower section of the conductor string (21). A multibore low pressure wellhead housing (41) is mounted to the conductor string (21) as the guide member (33) is being lowered downhole within the conductor string (21).</p> |
