Use of Echelle polychromator for analytical spectroscopy uses an arrangement of light guides (1,3), comprising a main gap (1) which directs the light beam towards the Echelle grating and a transverse gap (3) for limiting its dispersion in the direction of the prism. Thus the light beam passes through a series of components consisting of the guides, a collimator (4), the prism (5), Echelle grating (6), a camera optic (7) and camera (8). Between the main gap and the cross-gap is a shutter (2), linked to the cross-gap and to the camera control. By changing the lighting time by means of the shutter and the width of the transverse-gap, the Echelle grating can be used with light rays of different intensity and wavelength.
