<p>A multilayer strip designed to be helically wound around a tubular structure to provide heat insulation, and comprising a foam layer mechanically secured to at least one further layer made of a polymeric, thermoplastic and/or elastomeric material, wherein both layers extend over the whole length of the strip and have predetermined radial thicknesses. The foam has a thickness of 0.5-50 mm and forms at least 50 % of the total thickness of the strip, while the other layer has a thickness of 50 νm to 5 mm.</p> |
