Precise displacement of heavy loads in steel mill

The system for displacing heavy loads by movable platforms (30) along a track is constituted by a sliding beam (10), provided with a retractable pusher stop (20), and support plates (31) fixed to the platforms. The beam is slid by an actuator (40). The stops move along runners (24) activated by an actuator (26) carried by the beam. Several stops can be operated by the same runner. The retractable stops are mounted in the beam central hollow core. The stop pivoting axes (21) and their runners and actuator are flanked laterally by two U sections in which are inserted beam rollers.
