An endodiagnostic apparatus comprises an infrared imager (22) for imaging infrared emissions from within the range of 2 to 14 microns. The infrared imager (22) includes an objective (44), a relay section (46, 48, 50) and a coupler lens (52). An infrared video camera (25) is coupled to the infrared imager through an adapter (42) which includes an aperture (102) in a rear curved surface (104). The infrared imager can be used with a visible imager (24).
