The detergent for glass of an automobile is composed of carboxylate copolymer expressed as formula (I), where X and Y are H, CH3 or succinate radical, respectively, R is C6-C23 hydrocarbon and n is a positive number of 1-25, and oxyethylene oxypropylene copolymer expressed as formula (II), where R is C8-C18 alkyl or alkenyl group and x and y are positive numbers of 1-25. Carboxylate copolymer is used as alcohol alkoxylate derivative containing dicarboxyl succinate group.
