PURPOSE: To obtain a bottle cap requiring only a simple additional motion for releasing a child-proof mechanism. CONSTITUTION: A bottle cap 10 is provided with a cap body 14 screwed in the opening 13 of a container 12, a freely rotatable ring 16 put over the cap body 14. The ring 16 is usually pushed up by a flat spring (eccentrically shifting means) 24 formed at the flange 18L at the lower end of cap body 14. Protrusions 26a, 26b (fixing means 26) are formed at the outside face of the cap body 14 and the inside face of the ring 16. The protrusions 26a, 26b are positioned separately at the upper and lower parts in the usual position or the ring and the cap body does not rotate even if the ring 16 is rotated. When the ring 16 is pushed down against the eccentrically shifting force of the flat spring 24, the protrusions 26a, 26b are fitted to each other and the ring 16 is rotated together with the cap body 14. And hence, the bottle cap 10 can be fitted to the container or removed therefrom. |
