PURPOSE: To use an axle housing made of sheet metal as it is so as to moderate machining accuracy and to reduce machining cost and weight. CONSTITUTION: A boss 703 with a threaded hole 702 opened is provided on the upper face of the bearing cap 7 of a case support bearing, and the top part of the boss 703 is adhered fast to an axle housing 14 so as to substantially fix the upper face of the bearing cap 7 to the axle housing 14. Repulsive force applied to the bearing cap 7 is thereby received as the shearing force of a bolt 18, and the dislocation of the bearing cap 7 can be prevented using the axle housing 14 made of sheet metal. Machining is thereby facilitated in comparison with an axle housing made by casting.
