PURPOSE: To provide a bathtub which does not need a large and complicated device, can prevent a large quantity of hot water from overflowing from a bathtub at a time, and in addition, by which a user can easily stride a side wall of the bathtub. CONSTITUTION: On a side part of a bathtub main body 1 where hot water is filled, an apron part 2 which is set on a floor F of a body-washing space is provided. Then, on the apron part 2, a water-stopping plate 3 is provided turnably at approx. 180 deg. from a down state wherein the water-stopping plate 3 goes along the front surface of the apron part 2 to an upward state wherein the water-stopping plate 3 is erected at the top of the apron part 2. Then, on the outer periphery of the upper end of a side wall 11 of the bathtub main body 1, an elected wall 8 which surrounds the bathtub main body 1 while continuing from the water-stopping plate 3 under the upward state is provided. |
