PURPOSE: To intensify the fun of a game by a method wherein a detector is attached on at least one display unit for displaying information pertaining to the game or the like to detect the access or passage of a mobile body and the display of the display unit is altered by an output of the detector. CONSTITUTION: In a display device 200 which is fitted at the central part of a game board as variation display device to display information pertaining to a pachinko game or the like, three display units 10 which are each formed in a gutter with a U-shaped cross section are arranged with a screen 20 comprising an LED dot matrix display device and a liquid crystal display device on the surface thereof. The rear of the display units 10 and a portion between the adjacent display units serve as spaces D and E to let a mobile body (pachinko ball) pass and detectors 30... are arranged in the spaces D and E. The mobile body (p) approaching or passing through the display units 10 is detected to perform a new development of a game soft while changing picture patterns being displayed.
