<p>PURPOSE: To reduce the failure generation rate of an ozone lamp by several times repeating lighting treatment action when the ozone lamp is not lit even if the ozone lamp lighting treatment action is carried out for a prescribed time, and further when the lamp is not lit, by treating the lamp as it is failed. CONSTITUTION: When a power-supply switch 16 is turned on, the counter such as a memory inside a control circuit 20 is set to zero. Then, a relay contact 26 is turned on for carrying out the lighting treatment of an ozone lamp 9. The presence of lighting of the ozone lamp 9 is detected by the output of a light-receiving element 31 after a lapse of, for example, approximately 50 seconds. When the lighting of the lamp is detected, normal operation is carried out. When the lighting is not detected, the relay contact 26 is turned off for interrupting the lighting treatment. Then, after a lapse of approximately 5 seconds, 1 is added to the counter, and if the counter value is 3 or less, the lighting treatment action is carried out again, and it is repeated until the lamp is lit within 3 in the counter value. When the counter value becomes 3 or more, the ozone lamp 9 is made to be failed, and an indicating lamp 24 flickers for carrying out the lighting failure treatment of the ozone lamp.</p> |
