PURPOSE: To provide a heat insulating facility and a fuel reformer using it capable of using a thin heat insulating member in a fuel reformer, etc., compacting a housing vessel, etc., and also realizing high-heat efficiency in a wide temperature range, moreover being used with the drying condition.of the heat insulating member maintained. CONSTITUTION: This reformer has a housing vessel 3, a burner 6 for supplying a combustion gas 2 to the inside of the vessel 3, a reforming pipe 5 provided in the inside of the vessel 3, and a means for supplying a raw material gas to the pipe 5; and moreover has a heat insulating member 4 used to a fuel reformer, etc., for generating a reforming gas by performing heat exchange between the gas 2 and the raw material gas and provided on the inner side of a wall 16 constituting the vessel 3, and a low temperature gas supplying means 15 for supplying gas, having temperature lower than that of the inside of the vessel 3, to the heat insulating member 4. |
