PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a pharmaceutical preparation having benzodiazepine type activities for treating convulsion and dysphoria, and useful as a complemental nutritional food, a food material and a medicament by including a decapeptide having a specific amino acid sequence as an active ingredient. SOLUTION: The objective pharmaceutical preparation contains a decapeptide having an amino acid sequence of the formula Tyr-Leu-Gly-Tyr-Leu-Glu-Gln-Leu- Leu-Arg as an active ingredient. The decapeptide is obtained, for example, by carrying out a precipitation of a milk by using an acid and a neutralization of the precipitate by using an alkali to provide a casein, fractionating the casein by using a DEAE-cellulose to provide αS1 casein, enzymatically hydrolyzing the αS1 casein and concentrating and isolating the hydrolyzed αS1 casein by using a reversed-phase high-performance liquid chromatography, an anion exchange high-performance liquid chromatography, a gel-filtration chromatography having a threshold at 1800 dalton, etc. |
