<p>PURPOSE: To manufacture an easy-to-work reel made of foamed material at a low cost, which is kept strong enough to wind heavy weight articles by applying urethane resin coatings on the surfaces of side plate members and/or a core member. CONSTITUTION: A reel 1 made of foamed material consists of a pair of side plate members 2 formed of synthetic resin bead foamed material and a core member 3 separately provided therebetween. The core member 3 is fitted into the protruded small-size disc portions 5 of the side plate members 2. The side plate member 2 is integrally formed with a large-size disc portion and a protruded small-size disc portion 5 protruded inside at the center. In the protruded small-size disc portion 5, a locking hole 8 is made for the reel 1 made of foamed material. In this case, urethane resin coatings 10 are applied on the surfaces of the side plate members 2. Urethane resin serves to quickly harden a coating and provides better workability and high productivity during manufacturing the side plate members 2 of the reel 1 made of foamed material.</p> |
