PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify the structure of components of a solenoid and a valve while holding an approximately linear proportional fluid control by providing a movable valve controlling the pressure of pressurized fluid and a common housing incorporating the solenoid controlling the movement of the movable valve. SOLUTION: A proportional variable force solenoid fluid control valve 10 includes a valve member 12 and a solenoid 14 incorporated in a common housing 19 to provide a compact fluid control unit. The housing 19 includes aluminum and its alloy or a thermoplastic material necessary for storing the valve member 12 and the solenoid 14 by cast or injection molding. The valve member 12 and the solenoid 14 are incorporated in the common housing 19 so that another copper shell used for manufacturing the proportional variable force fluid solenoid control valve 10 is removed. The tab of the copper shell is crimped by being brought in contact with the valve member casting so as to eliminate the need for mechanical joint.
