摘要

PURPOSE: To obtain a liq. crystal compsn. which is a field-effect-type light- diffusing light-modulating material having both memory properties and high- speed response properties and requires neither temp. control means nor shearing means. CONSTITUTION: The liq. crystal comps., is field-responsive and contains a liq. crystal contg. as the main component, liq. crystal molecules selectively exhibiting a positive or negative dielectric anisotropy corresponding to the frequency region of the electric field, flat particles having an affinity for the liq. crystal and dispersed in it in such a concn. as to allow the domain of it to be effectively formed, and if necessary an ionic component.
