PURPOSE: To produce a printing blanket reduced in the fluctuations of surface tension, generating no dust and having a good mirror surface by forming an ink receiving transfer layer from addition crosslinking type silicone rubber not compounded with a silica but compounded with silicone resin as a substitution reinforcing material. CONSTITUTION: A compression layer 2 is provided on a base fabric 1 and a surface layer 3 consisting of a highly elastic layer 32 and an ink receiving transfer layer 31 is provided thereon. The ink receiving transfer layer 31 is formed using addition crosslinking type silicone rubber not compounded with a silica but compounded with silicone resin as a substitution reinforcing material. The silicone resin is pref. added in an amt. of 30-70 pts.wt. per 100 pts.wt. of the silicone rubber and the tanδof the silicone rubber is pref. 0.003-0.05. The highly elastic layer 32 is provided in order to control a tanδvalue and the compounding amt. of silica of the layer 32 is desirably 70-100 pts.wt. per 100 pts.wt. of the silicone rubber and the proper hardness thereof is 70 deg. or more.
