<p>PURPOSE: To improve the mounting work efficiency so as to make the force of pulling a lever and the force of fixing an engine cover easy to be set by temporarily fixing a base and a lever in advance so that a lever and a hook may turn in the same direction, when mounting an engine cover lock. CONSTITUTION: For an engine cover lock 20, inserting a pin 27 into a lever 24 and a base 21 and leveling the lever 24 and a wire ring 23 and turning them to the same face will decide the mounting posture of the lever 24. In this condition, the base 21 is applied to the screw hole made at the incline of an engine room panel, and it is fixed temporarily by a bolt 22. When a hook 27, a wire ring 23, and the lever 24 become horizontal by the vertical adjustment of the base 21, the bolt 22 is tightened by an electric wrench to complete the adjustment of the engine cover lock 20. Then, the pin 27 is pulled out of the holes 28 and 29, and the wire ring 23 is laid on the hook 7, and the lever 24 is pushed downward, whereupon the engine cover is fixed to the engine room panel, and the opening is closed.</p> |
